At the upcoming Milano Design Week 2026, the brand Kreoo will present a new collection of bathroom elements created in collaboration with designer Luca Nichetto, founder of the Nichetto® studio.
The project offers a contemporary interpretation of a historic Venetian motif – the traditional stone wells known as Vera da pozzo, which for centuries served as central elements of Venice’s squares, courtyards, and narrow streets.
The inspiration comes directly from the city and its unique relationship between water, stone, and architecture. This idea is translated into two contemporary design pieces – Musina and Posso – which reinterpret everyday objects through a sculptural approach and the rich materiality of natural stone.
The Musina model is carved from a single solid block of marble, emphasizing the natural beauty and unique structure of the material. The interior of the washbasin features a circular profile, while the outer shape follows an octagonal geometry inspired by historic Venetian wells.
A pronounced upper rim with soft, carefully refined contours gives the piece an elegant presence, while subtle relief panels on the outer edges highlight the geometry of the form. Toward the base, gentle stone slopes guide the eye downward, creating a harmonious composition that accentuates the natural veining of the marble and makes each piece entirely unique.
The second element of the collection, Posso, continues the same octagonal structure but interprets it through a more subtle design language. Its outer sides feature gently concave lines that create an elegant rhythm of light and shadow, while the thin finishing edge of the base emphasizes the refinement of its silhouette.
Like Musina, Posso utilizes natural stone from the extensive material palette available in the Kreoo catalog, allowing architects and designers to select textures and shades that best suit each interior space.
Both washbasins reinterpret a historical architectural object through contemporary design. This transformation preserves the essential values of Venetian wells—durability, stability, and the symbolic relationship between water and stone—while translating them into the context of modern interiors.
The result is a collection that introduces a sense of calm and cultural memory into a space while highlighting the elegance of natural marble and the precision of contemporary craftsmanship.
The brand Kreoo is widely recognized for exploring the aesthetic potential of marble through a dialogue between traditional craftsmanship and modern design. Its collections include furniture, surfaces, and decorative elements for residential spaces, hotels, yachts, and public interiors, where each piece celebrates the unique textures and patterns of natural stone.
Through its collaboration with Nichetto®, this philosophy gains a new dimension—design that connects history, material, and contemporary functionality, creating objects that are at once sculptural works and everyday design pieces.
