Contemporary approaches to exterior design increasingly blur the boundaries between architecture, nature, and everyday life.

This philosophy is perfectly embodied in the Sensory Suite project, an innovative residential concept that transforms a private garden into a complete open-air wellness experience. The project was designed by DipintoSucci Landscape Architecture Studio, while the entire outdoor lighting concept was developed by the Italian company QU.

At the heart of the project stands an elegant glass pavilion with minimalist lines, forming an intimate relaxation space within the garden. Inside this transparent structure are a Finnish sauna made of natural wood and a jacuzzi, creating a luxurious spa environment that dissolves the boundary between interior comfort and the surrounding landscape.

During the day, the glass surfaces reflect the sky and surrounding greenery, allowing the architecture to visually merge with the environment. At night, carefully designed lighting transforms the structure into a glowing pavilion that becomes the central visual focal point of the garden.

Outdoor lighting plays a particularly important role in the project. Developed by QU, it is conceived not merely as a functional necessity but as a key element of the architectural narrative, highlighting pathways, volumes, and vegetation while preserving the natural atmosphere of the space.

Brillo is a minimalist lighting fixture that emits a soft, diffused glow, subtly illuminating garden pathways and enhancing the texture of natural stone surfaces. Its controlled light output creates a gentle rhythm of illumination throughout the greenery, contributing to a sense of spatial harmony.

Magritte, on the other hand, introduces more dramatic contrasts of light and shadow. Positioned between vegetation and architectural volumes, it accentuates selected areas of the garden and adds depth and dynamism to the nighttime atmosphere.

Beyond the wellness area, the garden continues into a space dedicated to social gatherings and outdoor dining. Beneath a large bioclimatic pergola, a contemporary outdoor kitchen in an all-black finish is equipped with a professional grill and a pizza oven.

The pergola is further enhanced by cascading jasmine plants that descend above the dining area, while the fragrance of the flowers and the subtle lighting create an intimate ambiance for evening gatherings.

The material palette of the project is built around carefully balanced contrasts. Warm tones of natural stone meet the dark metal surfaces of the kitchen, while the transparency of glass and the lush green lawn create visual continuity between different functional areas of the garden.

In this concept, light acts as the connecting element that unifies the entire space, emphasizing architecture, landscape, and atmosphere.

The Sensory Suite project represents a contemporary example of how landscape architecture and lighting design can transform an ordinary garden into a multisensory living environment. Through a carefully orchestrated relationship between light, materials, and nature, the space becomes a private sanctuary where body and mind can regenerate—without ever leaving home.
